Hi, my name is Alex, and I do data analysis, data visualization, and data engineering. I like to create meaningful, valuable insights into data and express them in compelling and accessible visualizations.

I was raised in Texas but have lived and worked in New York, California, Ontario, New Mexico, and the Netherlands. I'm now based in Austin.

I have professional and educational backgrounds in design, botany, and librarianship. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, swimming in Austin's natural springs, biking around town, reading, two-stepping at my local honky tonks, and contributig to citizen science botany projects 🌱
